Target audience

  • Academic health professionals who have completed their training outside the German-speaking countries (only from EU countries)

Objective

  • Proof of sufficient German language skills - according to specifications

  • Acquisition of the certificate of specialised language skills at language level C1.

Components

  • The specialised language exam ‘German C1’ consists of three parts.

  • The examination team consists of language examiners and specialist colleagues.

  • First oral part: an anamnesis interview with a drama patient

  • Second written part: Writing a doctor's letter.

  • Third part: Oral patient presentation or handover.

  • Our specialised language test ‘German C1 Medicine/Dentistry/Pharmacy’ was developed jointly by experienced language examiners as well as medical/dental practitioners and pharmacists.

  • Meets the requirements of the 87th Conference of Health Ministers (GMK)

  • Fulfils the guidelines of the federal chambers and is recognised by the Hessian State Examination and Investigation Office in Health Care (HLfGP).
